The Potlotek Board of Education is responsible for the Mi'kmawey School, which is located at Chapel Island First Nation near St. Peter's, Nova Scotia. The Board's mission is to ensure there is a continuity of Mi'kmaw culture and language through its school curriculum so that it meets the social and psychological needs of its society. To ensure cultural continuity, the Board provides education in both the Mi'kmaq Language and cultural traditions.
