Eskasoni School Board Info

Eskasoni, the largest Mi'kmaq community east of Montreal, in 1980 took local control over its education system. We strive on offering the best education for our children.The School Board has sustained a Mi'kmaq Language Program and Immersion Program. Under the jurisdiction of the School Board we have the Daycare, Elementary & Middle School, High School and Un'amki Adult High School. Eskasoni's Mission statement is as follows: "Building on our respect for our Mi'kmaq culture, heritage, and our commitment to lifelong learning, the Eskasoni Education system worksclosely with the community to provide all our people with diverse holistic opportunities to gain knowledge, understanding, and skills that will help them succeed in the challenges of the future."
